01
Problem
Food packaging compresses ingredient lists and nutrition data into a format that is difficult to interpret quickly. The product needed to move from a scan to a useful explanation without overwhelming the user or presenting the result as medical advice.
02
Scope and constraints
- Fast camera and barcode-led flow on a small screen
- Clear separation between product facts and generated explanation
- Useful states when a product is incomplete or cannot be recognized
- A Romanian-first experience that remains understandable to a broad audience
03
Implementation
The experience centers on one primary action: scan a product, review its ingredients, then inspect a health-oriented summary. Supporting screens retain scan history and ingredient details without competing with that main path.
The solution combines a cross-platform mobile interface with product-data retrieval and AI-assisted explanations. The public product page also documents offline access, personalized history and an ingredient-detail view.
04
