01
Problem
Students prepare from long essays, scattered notes and repeated memorization. The product had to make a large syllabus navigable while supporting both reading and active recall, without turning into another dense document archive. By 2026 it also had to share content and accounts with two sibling apps instead of keeping its own copy.
02
Scope and constraints
- • A broad syllabus across specializations and literary works
- • Long-form content that still has to work on a phone
- • Fast navigation during revision sessions
- • One content source and one login shared with Quizuri BAC Română and Comentarii BAC Audio
03
Implementation
The information architecture groups essays and commentary by work, then supports the same material with quizzes, flashcards and audio. Students move from a first reading to repeated recall without leaving the product.
In July 2026 the app was rewritten from Flutter to Kotlin Multiplatform: shared Kotlin for data and logic, Jetpack Compose on Android and SwiftUI on iOS. Content now comes from a Go backend that also feeds Quizuri BAC Română and Comentarii BAC Audio, so a fix to a work or a question reaches all three apps at once.
Students can highlight essays and keep notes, study predefined flashcard decks synced to their account, and continue on app.bacromana.com, the web app with Premium. One login works across the BAC apps.
